IAGOD Adelaide 2010
The International Association on the Genesis of Ore Deposits (IAGOD) will be holding its 13th Quadrennial Symposium for the first time Down-Under, in Adelaide, South Australia. This is a great change to highlight research and work on Australian ore deposits, new exploration technologies, and new prospects and discoveries.
The themes for this conference are highly diverse and cover both specific ore deposit type themes and regional themes including:
Specific themes: giant ore deposits; magmatic and volcanic hosted ore deposits; residual and placer deposits; Mineralogy – from exploration to beneficiation; New geophysical and geochemical exploration technologies; gem deposits; New Energy (i.e. hot rock, nuclear, geothermal); and Present-day mineralising systems.
Australian regions: South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, Northern territory, Western Australia.
World regions: New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands; SE Asia, Russia and Central Asia; China and East Asia; Europe; Africa and Madagascar; Central and South America; North America; Near East, Middle East and Arabia; South Asia
