 As from July 2000 the company started trading as AMTS Pty Limited continuing to provide a variety of services to the mining, exploration and associated industries aimed particularly at those companies and individuals requiring:-

        (a)    a  professional  and  economic  mining & exploration title  service  to  alleviate  the necessity  of  employing  full  time staff and also  to  assist  those  companies  who already employ a titles officer by handling their additional requirements on a full or part time basis, particularly when geographically placed elsewhere in Australia;

        (b)    the  efficient  management  of all facets of exploration and mining  title  matters  to ensure the most expeditious application for available ground and to ensure that all titles of interest are appropriately maintained and serviced.

The principal consultant to the company Mr R. G. Harrison, prior to commencing work as a title consultant in 1969, previously studied mining engineering at Sydney and New   South Wales Universities and worked in the Mining Titles Branch of the Department of Mineral Resources where he gained extensive experience in the exploration and mining fields in relation to administration of the Mining Act.  In 1969 he resigned from the Department of Mineral Resources to join Mining Title Services Pty Ltd as a title consultant. In 1971 Mr Harrison & his former partners formed Australasian Mining Title Services Pty Ltd.

Bob Harrison has been active on the Legislative & Exploration Committees of the New South Wales Chamber of Mines & Extractive Industries with specific emphasis on review of the legislation leading up to the introduction of the Mining Act, 1992 and problems arising from exploration activities in New South Wales. Prior to formation of the Chamber of Mines in NSW, Mr Harrison also advised the Australian Mining Industry Council [A.M.I.C.] on matters relating to the legislation in this state. Mr Harrison was also a member of the industry ad hoc committee, which was instrumental in obtaining a number of changes to the Mining Act, 1973.

 SERVICES

·   A full and factual appraisal of mining titles or applications from the point of availability and validity, including due diligence searches.

·  Detailed interpretation and evaluation of titles to determine the mineral ownership in respect of the relevant minerals, including advice as to the most appropriate methodology for extraction of the minerals whether private or publicly owned.

·  Preparation and lodgement of all types of applications, serving of statutory notices prior to lodgement, marking out of areas as may be required in certain circumstances. Organising and instruction of surveyors as required for formal survey of lease areas or land subject to private mining agreements.

·  Attendance to all stamp duty requirements in respect of joint venture, purchase or option agreements and lodgement of applications for recording interests in titles in NSW and other states as may be required.

·   Negotiating with land owners/occupiers in regard to private mining agreements or access/assessment of compensation on applications and titles.

·   Appearance at Arbitration determinations on behalf of clients – legal fraternity are not permitted to attend such matters without the consent of both sides.

·   Preparation and attendance at the Warden's Court on behalf of clients, in respect of disputes, compensation determination and all manner of inquiries under the Mining Act. In matters before the Warden’s Court this company has formed a long term strategic alliance with Mr Lindsay Moore LL.B. of Moore & Co Solicitors – This arrangement has worked successfully for our clientele for many years, with an unchallenged high success rate in all matters undertaken by the team.

·   Preparation of maps and plans showing availability of areas and conflicting applications and titles. The company has substantial expertise in computer database management of titles and in the Geographical Information Systems (G.I.S.). Information both graphical and text related can be supplied from our own internal systems on request. In addition the company has been involved for some years with the Department of Mineral Resources NSW in regard to continued refining, development and upgrading of the Department’s own online database system TAS2.

·   Ascertaining land and mineral ownership of areas for the purpose of lodging applications or entering into private agreements, including investigation of land status to determine affects of possible claims under the Native Title Acts both Federal and State.

·  A comprehensive data based reminder service for the lodgement of renewal applications and attendance to payment of rents and compensation before the due date as required.

·   A complete and efficient drafting service encompassing survey and geological drafting and specialising in the preparation of prospectus diagrams.

·   The company maintains a comprehensive database on all titles in NSW with the capacity to produce CAD maps in DXF format at most required scales showing the Exploration Licence situation in any part of the state.   Digital data is updated on a daily basis and can be supplied for any part of NSW. The information is compiled and output in either DXF or Mapinfo Format utilising software developed in house in Visual Basic (Tman system). This software supplies rapid input of licence application areas, tracking of particulars and conflicts, preparation of maps at any scale including plotting of all known metallogenic features.

 Most of all SECURITY.  We offer our clients a confidential service with all matters treated with the utmost security.

 The company predominantly operates in New South Wales as well as serving clients requirements in other states including South Australia, Queensland, Tasmania,
Northern Territory  & Western Australia.  The Western Australian & Victorian work is for cost effectiveness, predominantly carried out by our accredited local agents each of whom have over 30 years experience as title officer/consultant in the Industry.

Our fees for general consulting are for Mr Robert Harrison ($200-00 per hour)

The preparation of Exploration Licence Applications are charged at a fixed fee of $600-00 with renewal applications charged at  $500.00 per application + GST.

Mining Lease Applications are prepared and lodged on a time basis. There are too many variables to allow for a general quotation on work of this nature. We are however happy to quote on any mining lease project subject to review of your requirements.

Our overall charges, as assessed by the industry over the years, are generally lower than those charged by other title consulting companies – our consultants however are the most experienced in the industry. The company’s client base has grown over the years with some of our principle client’s has been with us for over twenty seven years.

The company has been involved in the mining development of many operations in NSW including Tea Garden’s Rutile Mine (Northern Rivers Rutile & BHP Titanium), Ridgeway & Cadia Gold Mines (Newcrest), Girilambone Copper Mine (Nord Australex & Straits Mining), Junctions Reef Gold Mine (Climax Mining Ltd), London Victoria Gold Mine, (Alkane NL) Timbarra Gold Mine (Auralia), Adelong Gold Mine (Adelong Consolidated Gold Mines NL), Brown Creek Gold Mine (BHP Minerals Ltd) and the Ardlethan Alluvial Tin Mine (Marlborough Resources NL) as well as the development of the Murray Basin Rutile titles for Bemax Resources and a number of the other explorers in the heavy mineral search.
