Integrating Exploration Data to Develop and Modify Exploration Models: Case Studies from Two Sites in Indonesia

Abstract.
Exploration results are presented from two areas in Indonesia, one in Southern Aceh the other in Western Java, to illustrate the need to adapt exploration models to fit the field data rather than to be bound by preconceived model constraints. The talk illustrates the need to scale exploration to the details of the field geology, structure and recognised mineralisation and to let the data dictate the interpretation. Geology, tectonics and structure, geochemistry, geophysics and drill hole results are presented.
