Kit Lee until recently was the President of Zen International Resources Ltd., one of
the pioneering companies operating in China. Kit is a Malaysian-born Chinese,
educated in Canada as a geologist and has worldwide experience. He worked for
Placer Dome Inc for 17 years and was part of the team that resulted in the success of
Placer Pacific Ltd. He later joined Niugini Mining Ltd. He led the team that
discovered the Loei gold belt in Thailand. He formed a private company, Zen in 1994
to operate in China. Zen was listed in the Vancouver Stock Exchange in 1996. Zen
was the first foreign company to obtain all necessary governmental approvals for a
Sino-Foreign joint venture in China.
Kit has worked in Canada, Australia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Asia, and
South America in exploration and mining. He has advised Governmental Agencies of
Malaysia, Thailand and India in developing their country's mineral policies and
regulations. Kit first visited China in 1987 and since 1993 has advised
different governmental agencies in formulating China's regulations and procedures.
