Dick Hutchinson, from the Department of Geology and Geological Engineering
at the Colorado School of Mines, has
been at the forefront in the understanding of ore deposits around the world
for many years and is visiting Australia as the Plutonic Resources Visiting
Lecturer for 1997.
His talk will cover the changes in our understanding of the processes that form the principal
gold deposit types, and the forces that drive those changes.
