DATE: Wednesday 26th November 1997 - 6pm
VENUE: 1st Floor, Rugby Club, Crane Place, Sydney
SPEAKERS: Dr John Bishop
TOPIC: "The Application of Geophysics for Gold and Copper-Gold deposits"
This talk will demonstrate the use of geophysics, both successful and
unsuccessful, in the search for various styles of gold and copper-gold
deposits, with case histories from North and South America, Australia,
New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
Some examples are from John's own experience and some have been begged,
borrowed or stolen from his colleagues. So, if you are missing any slides, wish to protest at
the lack of acknowledgement, correct conclusions that have been drawn
from your work, or just hope the price of gold will rise again, come along
for this entertaining and informative talk.
