TOPIC: “Exploration in the Noughties, Chronic Ailments and Alternate Therapies”
The talk comprises a personal view of the ugly, the bad and the good of the current state of play in minerals exploration, and an ageing bull’s perspective of the field of heifers presented by the current resurgence in metal prices.
Russell has a PhD in Geology from the University of Sydney, and is entering his 5th major cycle in the exploration industry since his first job as a field geologist at Panguna in 1966. He has held senior technical and exploration management positions with both junior and major mining companies, and currently works as a consultant in the exploration industry.
