Case History of Exploration and Development of Newfoundland Zinc Mine, Daniel’s Harbour, Newfoundland, Canada. This “Mississippi-Valley” type deposit was brought into production in 1975. Reserves are approximately 2.5 million tonnes of 8.5% Zn. Very pure sphalerite occurs in shelf carbonates.
