Over the past seventeen years Becquerel Laboratories has delivered high quality neutron activation analyses to a diverse range of clients, both in Australia and overseas. We are proud of the service we have provided and value the fact that we are regarded by many as one of the few reference laboratories in Australia for geochemical analyses.
Unfortunately, that service cannot continue for much longer. ANSTO has advised us that it is no longer possible to supply irradiation facilities, suitable for commercial NAA as currently offered by Becquerel Laboratories, in the new reactor currently under construction.
It is, therefore, with deep regret that we have to announce that Becquerel laboratories will close on the 30th September 2004. We recognise that many of our clients rely on us for analyses and we will do our best to complete work on all samples submitted to us between now and the end of August 2004. Limited work may be possible in September, but that is not certain at this stage.
