Meetings on Setting Research Priorities – A FASTS Initiative

Dear All,

A series of meetings is being held round Australia over the next two weeks to help set priority areas for research funding.

Everyone’s invited, and it’s important to get a cross-section of the science community there.

Meeting schedule is:

Melbourne Wed, 12 June 2002 9.00am – 12.00pm The University of Melbourne, Elisabeth Murdoch Theatre (Gate 3, Swanston Street)

Armidale Wed, 12 June 2002 10.30am – 1.30pm The University of New England, Drummond/Smith College, Elm Avenue (Main seminar room)

Sydney Thurs, 13 June 2002 9.00am – 12.00pm Powerhouse Museum, 500 Harris Street, Ultimo (Coles Theatre)

Darwin Tues, 18 June 2002 2.00pm – 5.00pm Novotel Atrium, Cnr Peel Street & The Esplanade (BrolgaRoom)

Albury/ Wodonga Wed, 19 June 2002 11.00am – 2.00pm Albury Convention & Performing Arts Centre, Swift Street

Townsville Wed, 19 June 2002 11.30am – 2.30pm Museum of Tropical Queensland, 70-102 Flinders St, (Panasonic Theatre)

Canberra Thurs, 20 June 2002 9.00am – 12.00pm CSIRO Discovery Centre, Clunies Ross Street, Acton (Optus Theatre)

 

If you are intending to attend a consultative session please RSVP at least two working days prior to the event by sending an email to priorities@dest.gov.au. Please state your name, organisation (if relevant) and the location of the session you wish to attend.
