TOPIC: “United Nations Reconnaisance Geochemical Survey, Montenegro, Yugoslavia” A regional stream sediment survey and other geochemical investigations were carried out over 6500 sq. km. in NE Montenegro within the metalliferous (Zn-Pb-Cu-Ag) Dinaric Alpine Province. The area is one of complex geology, topography and drainage with occurrences of sulphide mineralisation associated with middle Triassic volcanism. The planning, logistics and interpretation of this survey, which was successful in defining 9 metallogenic zones, will be reviewed with discussion of conceptual models and methodology used (including computerised data treatment).
