TOPIC: “Exploration in the Kingdom of Sweden”
Recent developments in Sweden have highlighted the excellent exploration potential in this country for stratabound massive sulphide deposits, layered ultramafic complexes, and shear hosted gold deposits. Historically Sweden has been Europe’s biggest gold producer and is currently one of Europe’s largest copper, zinc, lead, silver and iron production centres.
John Stockley has extensive experience in European gold-basemetal exploration including work on the Furtei high sulphidation copper-gold deposits and the Osilo quartz-adularia epithermal gold deposits in Sardinia, Italy; Swedish basemetal-gold exploration; and Russian gold deposits.
