St Barbara’s Day at the Malaya North Sydney

Friday, 7 December 2001 at 12.15 pm

This year the Sydney Mining Community will again celebrate St Barbara’s Day at the Malaya Restaurant, 86 Walker Street, North Sydney.

If you wish to join in please email us or just take a chance, come along and join one of the friendly tables.

What is St Barbara’s Day?

St Barbara’s Day is an annual celebration held by Sydney’s mining resources industry to commemorate St Barbara, the Patron Saint of Miners. The event comprises a superb Malaysian or Chinese style lunch and the chance to gather in the one location and discuss and celebrate the achievements of the past year and we approach the Christmas season and as we make our final preparations for the SMEDG sail.

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s event. Cost, depending on your enthusiasm, will be about $45.

St Barbara’s Day is proudly sponsored by the North Sydney Mining Discussion Group.
